Date/Time: Thursday, May 14, 2020, 10:00 am to 11:00 am Eastern (11:15 if we have a lot of questions :))
Join TAICEP for an introduction to different types of digital student data. This webinar will include information about a number of national and international digital student data systems that allow credentials evaluators, admissions professionals, and others to securely and quickly receive authentic digital student records. Some of the systems focus on verifying graduation data through a secure portal, while others allow an approved recipient to download a learner’s entire educational record. In some cases, digital records can be verified or downloaded through the use of technological innovations such as blockchain, QR codes, or proprietary software, while other systems rely on students logging in to a national repository and releasing their records to your institution.
TAICEP wants to help you navigate this evolving landscape. To that end, Peggy Hendrickson of Transcript Research, a private evaluation company in the US, and Simone Ravaioli of Digitary, a leader in digital student data, will take you on a fast-paced tour of the world of digital student records.
Peggy Bell Hendrickson has spent almost 20 years combining her love of international education with her need to create lists. She’s contributed to such publications as the NAFSA Online Guide to Educational Systems around the World, the AACRAO Electronic Database for Global Education (EDGE), the TAICEP Talk Newsletter, the 2010 AACRAO International Guide, the NAFSA Guide to International Student Recruitment, and others. Peggy has presented on country updates, secondary education, professional development, international transfer credits, researching international education systems, accreditation, electronic verification services, bogus institutions, and more.
