Will a recording be released of this. (sorry if already asked). Gosh hey?! And good morning from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada--and MacEwan University. 00:58:23 Robert P Prather: Yes...we are recording. 00:58:25 Roger Hur: Air quotes. 00:58:34 Ena Chaisson: bless! Fanks Robert! 00:58:50 Jeanie Bell: Welcome, Ena! 01:00:07 Ena Chaisson: waves at Jeanie! :) 01:01:30 Robert P Prather: Wow 01:02:05 Shelby Cearley: LOVE NOTEPAD++ 01:09:37 Peggy Hendrickson: yikes! 01:16:18 Peggy Hendrickson: Saaaaaame on the not remembering & having a wiki. we use DokuWiki, and I wrote about it for TAICEP: https://www.taicep.org/taiceporgwp/building-a-resource-library-part-ii-july-2017-edition/ 01:16:34 Michael Ringer: we have docuwiki as well 01:17:58 Ena Chaisson: IT has recommended OneNote on Teams for a "wiki". Anyone used this current tool? 01:19:33 Michael Ringer: i like ditto for having multiple copy and past things 01:19:53 Michael Ringer: paste... dang it 01:20:11 Peggy Hendrickson: It probably depends on how much content you're planning to save. Our wiki is very robust, and we needed a full-fledged web-based portal for it. My experience with OneNote is not extensive, but it seemed like a much smaller collaboration tool. Also, our wiki has a lot of layered security so that some people can view only, others can edit some elements but not delete, etc. I've only used OneNote in homeschooling, and it did not seem as flexible. 01:20:28 Shelby Cearley: We use SharePoint. 01:20:28 Peggy Hendrickson: yay for crowdsourcing with smart people! 01:20:48 Karen Krug: I would second Peggy on OneNote not being as flexible. 01:21:07 Ena Chaisson: can someone who was here from the beginning save the chat and send it to me at chaissone@macewan.ca please? Love the chats in these TAYD webinars. :) 01:21:27 Peggy Hendrickson: A lot of those old AACRAO publications were in ERIC for years, so... 01:21:44 Ena Chaisson: they were, Peggy...they are disapoofing...why? 01:22:43 Aleks Morawski: Re Microsoft one-note - it is better for sharing files between small groups of individuals. A better Microsoft Office App similar to a wiki is SharePoint 01:22:48 Pieter Baeten: Thanks very much for this very interesting presentation. I am sure this will really help to enhance our intenret searching radically. It would be a great help if we could utilise a copy of your presentation to help us to put your lessons into practice. Would it be possible to hapy a copy of it alongside the recordeing? 01:23:24 Ena Chaisson: thanks, Aleks...do you have any links for how to use SharePoint as a wiki? We just moved to SharePoint. :) 01:23:34 Shelby Cearley: I’ve not found the AACRAO ones, but I’ve found Dept of State, Dept of Commerce, and Dept of Defense Education reports as well. 01:23:38 Shelby Cearley: In ERIC 01:24:42 Aleks Morawski: @ena chaisson - message me privately Morawski@scholaro.com re sharepoint 01:24:56 Peggy Hendrickson: Shelby, I had them linked in my older researching international education systems etc e-pub, but I believe that many of them are gone now. 01:25:06 Shelby Cearley: Figures! 01:25:25 Robert P Prather: How did you learn about the URL search manipulations that you talked about at the beginning. 01:27:42 Ena Chaisson: will do Aleks!!! Thank you so much!!! 01:29:53 Peggy Hendrickson: From a previous webinar, I created some short videos on using Google Site Search, Google Translate, and Internet Archive: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB-gq6t1EM9t3R98_JJBYEzxc8hAoFQxd 01:31:53 Peggy Hendrickson: aw, thanks 01:31:57 Robert P Prather: BTW, this chat will be saved and available to you. 01:31:59 Shelby Cearley: I second that - they were very useful! 01:32:11 Peggy Hendrickson: yes! let's talk about diploma mills! 01:32:13 Peggy Hendrickson: darn. 01:32:14 Sandra Zarate: Thank you so much.
