2020 Conference Update!

15 May 2020

Dear Members of the TAICEP Community,

After careful consideration and review of the latest information pertaining to individuals’ health and safety during the era of COVID-19, the TAICEP Board of Directors has decided to cancel the 6th Annual TAICEP Conference, scheduled for October 5-8, 2020 in Glasgow, Scotland.  That said, we are very happy to announce that we are exploring various exciting options for alternate TAICEP events during the fall of 2020.

We are still planning to offer innovative ways to network, meet new colleagues, share experiences and learn new skills. We promise to provide resources and training to all of you who do the important work of international credential assessment.  We are dedicated to continuing these types of opportunities and create a sense of community for our international credential evaluation professionals. Please help us understand your preferences for scheduling and for desired content of future events by completing this  short survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2TS77N5.

At this time, please allow us to take advantage of this communication to extend our appreciation to the many members already working on the conference.  Our Conference Committee and Professional Development Committee have worked for months to plan for the conference in Glasgow.  All of you who created and submitted proposals have our gratitude as well, and we still need you more than ever! We do not want your proposals to go to waste! Be looking for communication from Denise Benz soon about next steps regarding your session proposals.

With resilience and support from one another we can weather this experience with a greater understanding of our own capabilities, both professionally and personally.  Please continue to monitor the TAICEP website at taicep.org and keep an eye on our social media channels for updates and upcoming events. We hope to meet with you virtually soon and often to come out of this period as a strong, united community of professionals.

Wishing you good health and a safe environment,

Jeanie Bell

TAICEP President
