David Pauwels is a graduate of the University of Toronto and has been a Credentials Assessor with the Comparative Education Service for over thirteen years, providing assessments for employment, education, regulation, and immigration purposes. In the past year, he participated in two information sessions for the European Qualifications Passport for Refugees (EQPR) project, in Italy and Greece. David currently serves as the Chair of the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC), a pan-Canadian organization comprised of six assessment agencies, operating in collaboration with the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials (CICIC), which aims to promote quality assurance and best practices in academic credential assessment, as well as to ensure compliance with UNESCO conventions related to the recognition of qualifications.
