I work as an international education analyst and credential evaluator at Michigan State University. My professional activities involve analyzing global educational systems, evaluating credentials, as well as assisting in the development and maintenance of MSU's international admissions policies and processes. As such, I provide administrative support to faculty, staff, and students on these topics. I completed my doctorate in comparative and international education. My experiences as a doctoral student and as an administrator have shaped my understanding of primary, secondary, and tertiary education globally. My areas of interest include: globalization and education, education reform, teacher education, education and identity, as well as educational governance and policy. The cultures and education systems of the Middle East/North Africa, South Asia, UK, France, Cuba, and China hold special interest for me. I have been involved in research projects related to the education systems of the US, China, France, Ireland, Czech Republic, the MENA region, as well as Cuba. Currently, I am a member of TAICEP, an international organization for credential evaluation professionals. I serve on the outreach and membership committee, supporting the dissemination of our organization's activities as well as supporting its growth for professionals in the field. I also serve as a faculty board member for Phi Beta Delta's MSU chapter - an international student and scholar honors society.
